I am currently part of POETRONAUTAS, a literary group led by my dear friend, the Peruvian psychologist Diana Alcántara Pizarro.

From Lima, Peru, we carry out a work of promoting poetry through in-person presentations and literary meetings that are also broadcast live on social media, thus expanding our space for meeting and dialogue with readers and poets.

I have gathered in this gallery some images that are part of my journey as a writer, poet, and composer. They show different stages of my relationship with words and music, two forms of expression that have been present in my life and that, over time, have ended up meeting.

In several of these photographs, I appear alongside Latin percussion instruments. Music has always had a deep relationship for me with memory and with my Venezuelan roots. I grew up in a country marked by the meeting of cultures and traditions, and that diversity is also part of my way of understanding rhythm. When I play a drum, there is something of that memory that reappears, spontaneously, through sound.

You will also find photographs of my performances as a poet. These are moments when the written work leaves the intimacy of the page and meets other people. Each recital has a particular energy. There is something special about reciting a poem in front of an audience, observing their reactions, and feeling how those words take on a different life when shared.

This gallery brings together some of those moments. They are photographs from different times and circumstances, but all hold a part of my journey. I hope that, as you go through them, you can get a little closer to my creative universe and get to know the writer and composer that exists behind the pages, the poems, and the music.
